What makes Holistic Kinesiology so unique?

Holistic Kinesiology is a total complementary medicine training.  It is the result of unique collaboration of many experts in different fields of complementary medicine. Graduates are enabled to integrate all this knowledge and skill and apply it to the body and mind.

Holistic Kinesiology comprises the following major areas:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupressure, channel theory, 5 element constitutional theory
and practice, Ba Gua and trigrams, extraordinary vessels, tongue and pulse diagnosis and
    organ theory
  • Homeopathic constitutions and first aid
  • Nutrition and diet therapy
  • Counselling and transpersonal methods of facilitating growth and change
  • Movement and primitive reflex therapy, neurophysiological assessment and corrections to
improve brain function and learning difficulties
  • Kinesiology and muscle testing, including many techniques from chiropractic kinesiology and
    five other forms of kinesiology
  • Structural kinesiology, including orthopaedic assessment of the pelvis, integrated protocols for
    dealing with postural deviations

  • Energetic medicine including flower essences, aromatherapy oils, charkas, and crystals
  • A clinically focussed third year (Advanced Diploma) that covers all major clinical areas
including neurological disorders, immune disorders, mental health, psychological development,

metabolic disorders, structural disorders, fertility, connection to spirit, sleep, anxiety
    and depression

For us the body and the mind are one. We may work on a structural problem – like back pain – using the mind, through counselling, by improving coordination, movement and brain function, or directly on the body through reflexes, acupoints or massage, or more likely a combination of all these approaches.

Each client is unique and our skills enable us to tailor programs that best meets their needs.

Why do students prefer to study with us?Holistic Kinesiology student cassie.jpg

We have been the largest provider of kinesiology training in Sydney for many years. Here is a list of reasons students give for preferring to study with us:

1) Quality of our teachers

Our four senior teachers all have Degree or higher qualifications in complementary medicine, as well as Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications in Holistic Kinesiology. Their qualifications include acupuncture, psychology, occupational therapy, homeopathy, herbal medicine and naturopathy.

Together they also have more than 60 years of clinic experience between them. Most of our other teachers and many of our assessors have Advanced Diploma or Degree level qualifications. Together they bring incredible wealth of experience and knowledge that is unmatched in the field of Kinesiology and is a unique collaboration of complementary medicine fields.

2) Quality of delivery

We provide face to face training for all major areas of the course so that you are able to interact with your teachers.  In total there are more than 50 days of face to face teaching including supervised clinical practice in  Certificate IV in Kinesiology.  There are another 97 days of face to face teaching in the Diploma including clinical practice. We don't compromise on quality by delivering a high percentage of the course as distance education.

Holistic Kinesiology is a hands on discipline. More face to face training not only provides you with more value for money but also ensures more individualised attention, easier integration for students and better understanding - maximising your ability to be successful in clinic.

3) Employment Opportunities

We focus on providing you with a training that will maximise your employment opportunities at the end of your course. A recent survey of Holistic Kinesiology graduates found that over 80% of graduates from the last three years are working in clinic.

How is it that over 80% of our graduates have been successful in establishing their own clinics?

Our aim always is to deliver a course that inspires people by giving them training of such quality that they are confident to bring it to the community when they become graduates - a  course that facilitates the self-empowerment of the student so they are inspired to help facilitate change in the community.

The more education and the higher the quality of the education, the more professional the graduate and the more easily they establish thriving, successful careers.

Our graduates are respected by other professionals and feel confident working with other professionals. They are commonly sought after to join multidisciplinary clinics and can establish referral networks with doctors, chiropractors, TCM practitioners and psychologists etc.

Holistic Kinesiology graduates have gone on to publish books, teach courses in Australia and overseas, develop programs for business and community groups, establish a kinesiology charitable works program in Africa as well as work in successful clinics.

Their training does not end with a Diploma. We have the only Nationally Accredited Advanced Diploma program in Holistic Kinesiology, articulation arrangements so graduates can complete a Degree in Complementary Medicine at Charles Sturt University as well as continuing education programs that ensure they keep developing, stay up to date and on the cutting edge.

4) Ongoing Support for graduates

We provide ongoing training, information evenings with guest lecturers, and monthly social nights that allows students, graduates, teachers, and staff to mingle and informal access to staff for advice.
