About Us

OUR STORY

CCM was established in 2001 and specialises in unique courses in Mind Body Medicine, Kinesiology, Transpersonal Art Therapy and Transpersonal Counselling. This specialisation enables CCM to remain tightly focused on quality and personal support for students.

In 2000 the founders of CCM, David Corby and Ondrej Bursik, recognised that there were limited oppurtunities available for complementary medicine study. Also, the opportunities which did exist generally offered only a single-strand or specialist approach. David and Ondrej wished to provide an institution which trained practitioners who could draw on a wide range of techniques when treating clients, and who would also have sufficient knowledge to work alongside or refer specialist practitioners where appropriate.

The College journey began with the delivery of the Diploma of Holistic Kinesiology which differentiated itself from other Kinesiology courses by integrating other complementary medicine tehniques into the cirriculum. CCM continued to offer the Diploma of Kinesiology and its prerequisite, the Certificate IV in Kinesiology, and developed the Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences in Holisitic Kinesiology in 2007.

All the while the course curriculums have been systematically reviewed and developed to integrate advances in complementary medicine, provide the best professional training and ensure relevance to the workplace. In 2012 CCM introduces its Dual Diploma program which integrates training for the existing Certificate IV and Diploma of Kinesiology with its new Diploma of Mind Body Medicine. This new Diploma exemplifies David and Ondrej's goal to advance the training available in integrative complementary medicine.

We delivered the Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy and Counselling in 2002 and in October 2010, we entered into a partnership with the Phoenix Institute of Australia to commence delivery of the Transpersonal Diplomas , providing students with a greater opportunity to enrol under the VET FEE - HELP scheme.
