Presented by the Expressive Arts department of CCM.
Stories and Myth have informed healing practices for millennia. They assist people and cultures to expand their horizons beyond the everyday challenges and place them within a deeper, broader story. They inform us through metaphor, and hold us within the warm embrace and challenges of hero’s’ and heroines.
This professional workshop will explore the descent and return of Innana, an ancient Mesopotamian story of depth, longing and ultimately the reclamation of Shadow.
Shadow in this context refers to areas of the psyche that have been avoided and/or denied and been pushed into what Robert Johnson refers to as the long back bag we drag behind us.
